Recommendation Information
That Superintendent's Recommendation #20-201, Grant Award, be adopted as follows: that the School Committee accept approve the grant award below in the amount and for the period indicated as detailed in the document.
Special Education IDEA Allocation, for the period September 1, 2020 to June 30, 2021, in the amount of $2,650,192.00. (SC21605).
Description: The purpose of this Federal Entitlement Grant Program is to provide funds to ensure that eligible students with disabilities receive a free and appropriate public education that includes special education and related services designed to meet their individual needs. The temporary salaries line is an offset for the Proportionate Share of services provided to private school students. The remainder will be used for out-of-district tuition for students, with the exception of $3,000.00 for membership dues to the Massachusetts Urban Project.
