That Superintendent's Recommendation #20-200, Grant Award, be adopted as follows: that the School Committee accept and approve the grant award below in the amount and for the period indicated as detailed in the document.
Title IV Student Support and Academic Enrichment, for the period September 1, 2020 to June 30, 2021, in the amount of $96,836.00. (SC21732).
Description: Part of the Federal Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA), the Title IV grant for FY21 will be flexed into the district's Title IIA program to provide 0.5 FTE of the salary and benefits for an ELA coach at Putnam Ave Upper School. The $33,000.00 in temporary salaries will be used for mentor stipends and $2,043.00 for mentor texts.
