<p>That the School Committee congratulate Amy Short, Assistant Director for Library Media Services, as a recipient of the 2019 Massachusetts School Library Association Peggy Hallisey Lifetime Achievement Award. This award celebrates Amy's exemplary commitment to the service of students and 21st century learning and to the advancement of school libraries. She is a fierce advocate for our school libraries and their central role in our students' rigorous, joyful, culturally responsive learning experiences. Amy will be honored on Sunday, March 31 during the MSLA Awards Banquet as part of the MSLA Annual Conference, "School Libraries are for Everyone", and That the Executive Secretary is requested to forward a suitable congratulatory letter on behalf of the entire School Committee.</p>
