<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 200%; tab-stops: 48.0pt 1.0in 1.5in decimal 6.25in;"><span style="font-size: 10.0pt; line-height: 200%; font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif;"><span style="mso-tab-count: 1;"> </span>That Superintendent's Recommendation #21-93, Grant Award, be adopted as follows: that the School Committee accept and approve the grant award below in the amount and for the period indicated.</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-left: .5in; tab-stops: 48.0pt 1.0in 1.5in decimal 6.25in;"><span style="font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif;">FY21 IDEA Targeted for the period March 19, 2021 to August 31, 2021 in the amount of $5,645.00.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>Grant SC21165. </span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-left: .5in; tab-stops: 48.0pt 1.0in 1.5in decimal 6.25in;"><strong style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal;"><u><span style="font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif;">Description:</span></u></strong><span style="font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif;"> This grant will support professional development in the effective implementation of Student Support Teams (SSTs) and the Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS), an approach which utilizes an array of assessments to construct a picture of the whole child, including their cultural background and past experience. Through the use of a comprehensive array of tiered interventions targeted to each student's individual profile, we will be able to prevent the inappropriate referral of students to Special Education and ensure equity for members of marginalized subgroups. </span></p>A true copy:
