Grant SC22851. </span></p> <p class="MsoNoSpacing" style="margin-left: .75in; tab-stops: .75in;"><strong style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal;"><u><span style="font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif;">Description</span></u></strong><span style="font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif;">:<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>This CFCE grant supports pre-school-aged children and their families through a collaboration between CPS and the City of Cambridge DHSP's Center for Families. Together they provide a seamless network of programs that are responsive to diverse families, including: conducting ongoing outreach, information and referrals; providing family literacy-based play groups and community-wide activities, partnering with public schools and community-based programs to support Kindergarten registration and screening; providing family education and support services; and engaging families in supporting early childhood development through utilization of services; and engaging families in supporting early childhood development through utilization of the ASQ screening tool and follow-up activities and referrals to address challenges early. In CPS, the grant funds the 0.2 FTE Early Childhood Specialist who co-facilities mother support groups and other family support programs.
