<p class="MsoNormal" style="tab-stops: 48.0pt 1.0in 1.5in decimal 6.25in;"></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 200%; tab-stops: .75in;"><span style="font-size: 10.0pt; line-height: 200%; font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif; color: #222222; background: white;"><span style="mso-tab-count: 1;"> </span></span><span style="font-size: 10.0pt; line-height: 200%; font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif;">That Superintendent's Recommendation #20-35, Grant Award Increase, be adopted as follows: that the School Committee accept and approve the grant award in the amount and for the period indicated:</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="tab-stops: .75in;"><span style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">FY20 Special Education IDEA Allocations (SC20605) INCREASE in the amount of $13,265.00 for the period September 1, 2019 to June 30, 2020.</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-left: .75in;"><span style="font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif;"></span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-left: .75in;"><u><span style="font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif;">Description</span></u><span style="font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif;">: The purpose of this Federal Entitlement Grant Program is to provide funds to ensure that eligible students with disabilities receive a free and appropriate public education that includes special education and related services designed to meet their individual needs.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>The temporary salaries line is an offset for the Proportionate Share of services provided to private school students.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>The remainder will be used for out-of-district tuition for students.</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-left: .75in;"><span style="font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif;"></span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-left: .75in;"><span style="font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif;">The increase of $10,265 will go towards out-of-district tuition. <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"></span>The additional $3,000 was part of our original allocation which DESE, in years past, would pay directly to Urban Collaborative for our membership; they now require us to include it in our budget.</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-left: .75in;"><span style="font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif;"></span></p>A true copy:
