<p class="MsoNormal" style="tab-stops: 48.0pt 1.0in 1.5in decimal 6.25in;"></p> <p class="MsoNoSpacing" style="line-height: 200%;"><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span><span style="font-size: 10.0pt; line-height: 200%; font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif;">That Superintendent's Recommendation #20-202, Grant Award, be adopted as follows:<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>that the School Committee accept and approve the grant award in the amount and for the period indicated as detailed in the document.</span></p> <p class="MsoNoSpacing" style="margin-left: .5in;"><strong style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal;"><u><span style="font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif;">Description</span></u></strong><span style="font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif;">:<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>The FY21 Title I grant will fund additional teaching staff at four elementary and two upper schools.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>Intervention teachers allocated to the Kennedy Longfellow, King Open, Morse, and Fletcher Maynard Academy will provide either ELA and/or Math intervention and targeted support to at-risk students.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>At Cambridge Street Upper School, the Title 1 grant will fund a 1.0 Reading Interventionist, and at Putnam Ave, the Title 1 grant will fund a 1.0 Math Interventionist.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>In addition, the grant will fund tow half-time Reading Recover Teacher Leaders who will provide professional d4evelopment for all district early literacy interventionist, a .75 family liaison, and a .6 clerk.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>The grant budget also provides funding for services for homeless students, professional development, parent involvement, printing and supplies, as well as services to eligible students in private schools.</span></p>A true copy:
