Mechatronics Technology is a field that combines elements from manufacturing, electrical, mechanical, robotics, automation, and computing areas to solve a broad range of industrial and consumer problems. Massachusetts has one of the nation’s strongest job markets—and highest salaries—for careers in Mechatronics Technology, according to the US Bureau of Labor Statistics.
The program starts with a focus on the skills required for entry-level positions such as Electronics Assembler, Field/Maintenance Technician, and Solder Technician. Our hybrid teaching model combines virtual lectures with hands-on, in-person labs to teach you the core competencies that today’s employers demand. In your second year of the Associate of Science Degree (AS) in Engineering Technology – Mechatronics Technology concentration, you will dive into courses in Robotics and Automation, preparing you for roles such as Automation Technician, Robotics Assembly Technician, and Electro-Mechanical Technician.
