Chamber Music Collaboration

Cambridge Rindge and Latin School, Student-led rehearsals will take place in various designated rooms in the basement of the Arts Building. Master Classes will take place in Room 0607.

The Chamber Music Collaboration is a great program for students who are very proficient at their instrument to get experience playing in smaller groups of duets, trios, quartets, or quintets. Students are placed into groups according to level, instrumentation, and scheduling availability. They rehearse on their own as student-led groups for one hour once/week (rehearsal times are decided according to student scheduling availability either before or after school). All chamber groups gather together on 4-5 Wednesday afternoons spread throughout the school year to participate in professional-led Master Classes, and all groups perform in the June concert. We have a collaboration with Radius Ensemble, a professional chamber group. When possible, they may provide a coaching for groups. Student-led rehearsals will take place in various designated rooms in the basement of the Arts Building. Master Classes will take place in Room 0607. The Chamber Music Concert is Tuesday, June 6th at 6:00 pm Student-led rehearsals will typically take place either in the mornings from 7:30-8:30 am or after school from 3:00-4:00 pm, depending on the students' schedules. The Master Classes will take place from 3:00-4:30 pm on 4-5 designated Wednesday afternoons. 1. Eligibility: Students must be proficient on their instrument and be able to read music. Auditions usually take place at our first introductory meeting in October - the date will be announced at Club Week. 1.
